Description
(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) A lovingly restored World War II, L-5 Stinson, single engine, fixed-wing airplane of the type used during the war. It flew a variety of low-level missions and carried no armament or weapons. This one flew as an air ambulance and was capable of extracting only one wounded soldier on a stretcher inside the small fuselage directly behind the pilot. It was flown by a very brave ... Sky Pilot.
I created this black and white image from my original color photograph taken on location by adding digital enhancements, textures or other effects. These effects and image details will become more visible by clicking inside the green magnifier square as the cursor is placed over the image.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Our professional printing facility recently added a new feature for customers who desire artwork prepared for them to be in standard sizes such as 8 x 10, 11 x 14, 16 x 20, 24 x 30, 36 x 24 and so on. Previously, my images were only available in non-standard sizes as I composed them in camera, or cropped them during processing. This often created a requirement for the use of custom mats and frames which added to the final costs. During your selection of my art, ( on the size tab ) you will now be able to select a NATURAL, VERTICAL, HORIZONTAL or SQUARE format. The NATURAL format is my original-sized art as composed and processed during my creation of the image and in most cases require non-standard size mats and frames. The new VERTICAL, HORIZONTAL or SQUARE formats will produce an image which will work in standard-size mats and frames. I have examined many of my images in these new formats and although some portions of my original composition may not be included in the final printed image, they may still produce beautiful works of art which could better suit your needs or style. So go ahead and see for yourself, by viewing your favorite images in these new formats, in the various sizes and wide selections of mats, frames, canvas, metal, wood or acrylic materials.
