(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) Although I thought it was a bit early for me one lazy morning when I finally got out onto the Marsh Walk after a hotel breakfast, this colorful scene made me wish I had gotten there sooner. The South Carolina sun had already risen into some unusual looking clouds and created this beautiful orange-colored sky. The only thing disturbing the awesome reflections of the calm waters was this fishing boat with a lucky crew on board just... Cruising Out Of Murrells Inlet.
I created this image from my original photograph taken on location by adding digital enhancements, textures and painterly-style effects. These effects and image details will become more visible by clicking inside the green magnifier square as the cursor is placed over the image.

During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home.
