Artist's Description
(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) The original state capitol of Pennsylvania was located in Philadelphia. In 1779 the state government was moved to Lancaster and finally once again in 1812, it was moved to Harrisburg. The first structure was destroyed by fire in 1897 and the second building was abandoned during construction in 1899 when funding stopped. This beautiful building was completed in 1906 and was placed on our Nattional Register of Historic Places in 1977. I discovered it only recently with a beautiful fountain and an awesome sky to make it ... A Capitol Day.
I created this image from my original photograph taken on location by adding digital enhancements, textures or other effects. These effects and image details will become more visible by clicking inside the green magnifier square as the cursor is placed over the image.

Ever since then I have been inspired with a new awareness of life and an improved photographic vision. This has compelled me to find beautiful scenes wherever I go and to share my favorite creations with others who may not have the time or...
