But it was not an uneventful day by any means, as the largest old-fashioned steamboat named the American Queen rolled into town for a brief stay. I thought it to be quite a coincidence that Ohio's third largest city has long been known as The Queen City and this nostalgic boat was docked in front of the Great American Ballpark. Besides that, this relatively new Major League Baseball stadium just happens to be the home of America's first professional baseball team, the Cincinnati Reds. Too bad that "The Boys of Summer" missed out on a chance to play on a day like this, but during the season and down on the river there will be plenty of ... Baseball And Boats In Cincinnati.

My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home. A family of my own and a new career put that dream on hold for many years, but I had always enjoyed photography as an art form. Then, after surviving another kind of war with cancer back in 1997, I began to really see the beauty in our world. Ever since then I have been inspired with a new awareness of life and an improved photographic vision.
