As a young boy, my friends and I could usually earn or find a few coins that someone had dropped on the sidewalk, to buy some balloons. You could tie one on your bicycle wheel to make it sound like a motorcycle and that was pretty cool. You could do many fun things with them, but perhaps the best was to fill them up with water and have a little balloon war with your neighborhood friends. One day at an amusement park I found a whole bunch of them in rows just waiting to be popped by someone throwing darts to win a prize. My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father.
