(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) Once upon a time long ago and far away when I was a small boy , we called them merry-go-rounds. I always enjoyed the bright colors, cheerful music and just going round and round or up and down. on my favorite painted wooden animal. I guess I didn't call them carousels until I became much older when my job was just to hold my child as we both went round and round. Although carousels do not seem as common as they once were, you can still find one somewhere at an amusement park, festival or maybe even at your local shopping mall. Today, children still enjoy a ride on their favorite painted animal and maybe they would even be lucky enough to find a big and colorful... Carousel Cowboy.
I created this image from my original photograph taken on location by adding digital enhancements, textures and painterly-style effects. These effects and image details will become more visible by clicking inside the green magnifier square as the cursor is placed over the image.

Of course, you may always choose the NATURAL format and purchase my art as it was originally composed and created.
