(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) This beautiful town is a long way from Switzerland, but it is very close to the southern shores of Lake Erie in northern Ohio. I often enjoy my visits to small towns as I travel across America and here on South Broadway Street I discovered an old-time corner drug store complete with a soda fountain. Perhaps you may have heard your parents or grand-parents talk about drug stores like this and the good news is you can still find one if you get off the big highways and visit a small town. The whole town was decorated with patriotic pride for the Memorial Day Weekend and the beginning of another summer. For me it was another pleasant trip back in time, as I took a slow walk in ... My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home. A family of my own and a new career put that dream on hold for many years, but I had always enjoyed photography as an art form.
