Artist's Description

(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) On the Greek Isle of Mykonos, a small section of the town harbor area is known there as Mikri Venetia. The houses, shops and cafes were built precariously on the edge of the blue waters of the Aegean Sea. Folklore says this was done during the 16th and 17th centuries for pirates sailing these waters who often needed to quickly load and unload their treasures. The pirates have now been replaced by tourists who come by the hundreds to drink, eat, and be merry in this area known as ... Little Venice.

Ever since then I have been inspired with a new awareness of life and an improved photographic vision. This has compelled me to find beautiful scenes wherever I go and to share my favorite creations with others who may not have the time or...
