(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) Many years ago they built their own version of New York's famous amusement park, not far from Cincinnati on the banks of the Ohio River. The old wood steam-powered riverboat named the Island Queen, would ferry passengers to and from downtown. Dancing and Big Band music was a very popular form of entertainment for couples, so this dance pavilion was built just for them. Here is a nostalgic view of the beautiful, historic and still in use today ... Moonlite Gardens At Coney Island.

During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home.
