(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) Each year over 8 million visitors from all over the world come to this area on the border between Canada and the United States. There are actually three waterfalls, the American, Bridal Veil and the Canadian or Horseshoe Falls which are collectively known as Niagara Falls. Many say that the best place to view the falls is from the Canadian side where you can see them all from a distant point of view. But I found a fantastic view from one of the lookout points in New York's Niagara Falls State Park. From here I saw the beautiful Niagara River Gorge and the Rainbow Bridge crossing into Canada. I was so close that I could hear the roar, feel the mist and the amazing power of nature as millions of gallons of water rushed ... Over The Edge.

About Mel Steinhauer
My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home. A family of my own and a new career put that dream on hold for many years, but I had always enjoyed photography as an art form. Then, after surviving another kind of war with cancer back in 1997, I began to really see the beauty in our world. Ever since then I have been inspired with a new awareness of life and an improved photographic vision. This has compelled me to find beautiful scenes wherever I go and to share my favorite creations with others who may not have the time or...
