Artist's Description
(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) You can often find beautiful parks right in the middle of big cities, and Cincinnati is no exception. Complete with shade trees, benches and water fountains, it also has statues of two Ohio Presidents, William Harrison and James Garfield. As this park is only 2 blocks short, the honored Presidents are noted for serving the shortest terms in office. President Harrison died of pneumonia after 31 days in office and President Garfield died of an assasin's bullet after only 6 months in office. Although most locals call this Garfield's Park, the land was donated by John and Benjamin Piatt. So the official sign states this beautiful place is ... Piatt Park.
I created this image from my original photograph taken on location by adding digital enhancements, textures and other effects. These effects and image details will become more visible by clicking inside the green square magnifier as the cursor is placed over the image.

Ever since then I have been inspired with a new awareness of life and an improved photographic vision. This has compelled me to find beautiful scenes wherever I go and to share my favorite creations with others who may not have the time or...
