(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) For those of us who live in the city, we often enjoy escaping from the concrete and crowds by going to a nearby nature park. In the Tri-State Region of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana there are many such places for us to visit. The Cincinnati Nature Center covers over 1,000 acres of old-growth forests with 18 miles of hiking trails by lakes, streams and creek waterfalls. A popular time of year that I really enjoy is just after a long, cold winter and right before the heat of summer arrives. Bare trees are just beginning to sprout new leaves, but greenery and wildflowers are abundant everywhere. They even grow randomly and often where they should not, creating some beautiful scenery. So next time you get a chance, get back to nature and put a ... Spring In Your Step.

Ever since then I have been inspired with a new awareness of life and an improved photographic vision. This has compelled me to find beautiful scenes wherever I go and to share my favorite creations with others who may not have the time or...
