Down south in the Florida Panhandle I recently found another one that has managed to maintain it's individual charm and character. Although a turpentine industry fire destroyed many of the original wood buildings in the early days of the 20th century, stores and businesses were quickly rebuilt as brick structures. In a residential quiet neighborhood, I discovered several beautiful and historic homes near ... Downtown De Funiak Springs.

My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home. A family of my own and a new career put that dream on hold for many years, but I had always enjoyed photography as an art form.
