Artist's Description
(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) Niagara Falls is actually the sum of three different waterfalls of the Niagara River. The American Falls, the Bridal Veil Falls and the Canadian Falls. About 90% of the water from the Niagara River flows over the Canadian Falls and produces much hydro-electric power as it plummets almost 200 feet to the gorge below. These falls have a width of over 2,200 feet and at this point the water is traveling at speeds up to 32 miles per hour. With an estimated 600,000 gallons of water going over the edge every second, quite often the mist created blocks the majority of the view. So I was very fortunate one day to see this awesome view of a natural wonder also known as ... Horseshoe Falls.

Then, after surviving another kind of war with cancer back in 1997, I began to really see the beauty in our world. Ever since then I have been inspired with a new awareness of life and an improved photographic vision. This has compelled me to find beautiful scenes wherever I go and to share my favorite creations with others who may not have the time or...
