(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) Just a few miles down the road from Brookville and somewhere between Cincinnati and Indianapolis you may find a 19th Century Indiana Canal Town. Besides the small shops with antiques and crafts there are a few restaurants and even an old canal boat. For just a few dollars, you can take a slow ride down the historic canal in an old wood boat that is pulled by two big work horses. One very pleasant and unusually warm morning, I took a leisurely walk there just to enjoy the history, nostalgia and another beautiful ... Autumn In Metamora.

My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home. A family of my own and a new career put that dream on hold for many years, but I had always enjoyed photography as an art form.
