(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) What IF... you lived near a big city and could enjoy views of that city skyline almost anytime you wanted ? Although there is always something different to see in the sky, clouds, lighting or possibly some new construction, you may begin to get somewhat bored. Ohio's third largest city is on the Ohio River, near the southern border of Indiana and the northern tip of Kentucky. That is why they call it the Tri State Area, in which Cincinnati is the largest city. I am still very fond of this view, however after seeing it as many times as I have, I decided to make several adjustments to create this dramatic black and white scene that was quite different from the reality I did see that day. Others may wish to see it differently, or add their own personal touches but here is my latest version of these beautiful ... Cincinnati Skyline River Reflections.

My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home. A family of my own and a new career put that dream on hold for many years, but I had always enjoyed photography as an art form. Then, after surviving another kind of war with cancer back in 1997, I began to really see the beauty in our world. Ever since then I have been inspired with a new awareness of life and an improved photographic vision. This has compelled me to find beautiful scenes wherever I go and to share my favorite creations with others who may not have the time or...
