Down south in the Florida Panhandle I recently found another one that has managed to maintain it's individual charm and character. Although a turpentine industry fire destroyed many of the original wood buildings in the early days of the 20th century, they were quickly rebuilt as brick structures. Long before the development of major highways and air travel, railroads played a vital role in transportation across our country. Travel by trains from one city or small town to another, was quite popular not too long ago, so I was not surprised at all one day when I found train tracks and this historic railroad station in beautiful...Downtown De Funiak Springs.

My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home.
