Long before everyone could walk about with a cell phone in their hand, people had to find a telephone somewhere when they were away from their home and needed to make a call. Someone in England created a stylish and now iconic telephone booths like this one, where a person could step inside, close the door, drop a coin in a slot and pay to make a call in private. We used to have rather plain-looking telephone booths on city sidewalks and other places, but now they have vanished almost completely. Today, with pocket-sized cell phones that work almost everywhere without wires, you can often see people making their private calls just about anywhere. My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home.
