Many people come in October just to see the fall foliage, which is difficult to predict eactly when the peak colors will occur. However they still come, just as I did. Some trees were beginning to change their colors, a few had already shed their leaves and many were still summer green. But early one morning during a light rain, I got a little wet while trying to capture the beauty of ... A Smoky Mountain Stream.

About Mel Steinhauer
My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home. A family of my own and a new career put that dream on hold for many years, but I had always enjoyed photography as an art form.
