(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) One beautiful summer day on the Ohio River, the home team was out of town and the stadium was empty. But it was not an uneventful day by any means, as the largest old-fashioned steamboat named the American Queen rolled into town for a brief stay. I thought it to be quite a coincidence that Ohio's third largest city has long been known as The Queen City and this nostalgic boat was docked in front of the Great American Ballpark. Besides that, this relatively new Major League Baseball stadium just happens to be the home of America's first professional baseball team, the Cincinnati Reds. Too bad that "The Boys of Summer" missed out on a chance to play on a day like this, but during the season and down on the river there will be plenty of ... Baseball And Boats In Cincinnati.
