Artist's Description

(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) On State Road 135 just north of Nashville, between Indianapolis and Bloomington, I took another trip back in time. This old covered bridge was built by Joseph Basley in 1880 and it is still in use today. A winding country road that crosses over a small creek will take you back to a small town with the same name. Here is where "The Father of Bluegrass " country music legend Bill Monroe once called it his home. One early winter afternoon on my way to a big city, I decided to go a few extra miles just to stop and capture the beauty of the ... Bean Blossom Bridge.

I created this black and white image from my original color photograph taken on location by adding digital enhancements, textures and other effects. These effects and image details will become more visible by clicking inside the green square magnifier as the cursor is placed over the image.

Ever since then I have been inspired with a new awareness of life and an improved photographic vision. This has compelled me to find beautiful scenes wherever I go and to share my favorite creations with others who may not have the time or...
