(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) Sometimes I am not able to travel to far-away places, so to soothe my wanderlust I often search for beautiful scenes nearby. I have even found them in my own neighborhood while taking an early morning walk to get some exercise. Many others do the same on a quiet walking path designed just for that purpose. A simple and complete journey that always ends at the same place where it began. Just down the hill where this peaceful pathway crosses over a small creek with no name, there is a ...Bridge To Nowhere.
I created this black and white image from my original color photograph taken on location by adding digital enhancements, textures and other effects. These effects and image details will become more visible by clicking inside the green square magnifier as the cursor is placed over the image.

My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home. A family of my own and a new career put that dream on hold for many years, but I had always enjoyed photography as an art form.
