Artist's Description
(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) Cities all over the world possess things for which they have some level of fame. Here in a Cincinnati suburb known as Mt. Lookout, you will find the first and oldest professional observatory facility in the United States. Former President John Quincy Adams who loved the science of astronomy, laid the cornerstone of this building in 1843. The original telescope, an 11 inch wood and brass refractor dates back to 1842 and still works today. A newer and larger 16 inch refractor was made in 1904 that is also still in use. People from all over come to tour the museum and view the moon, stars and planets through these antique telescopes. You can visit and learn much more at this famous observatory, just another one of the well-known ... Cincinnati Landmarks.

This has compelled me to find beautiful scenes wherever I go and to share my favorite creations with others who may not have the time or...
