The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. (Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) These restored gasoline pumps in front of the antique shop in Rabbit Hash don't really work, but they sure look good. Just a few miles west of Cincinnati, this nostalgic community in northern Kentucky is a real trip back in time. The locals here just call antiques old stuff and in the early days of Rabbit Hash they didn't even have any. Heck, everything was brand new way back then. When pumps like these did work, gasoline would first fill up the glass containers so you could see if it was dirty or clean before pumping it into your car. Folks wanted their money's worth when they had to pay about 19 cents a gallon. So take a trip back in time now and come on down to Rabbit Hash where you can still enjoy the ... Good Old Days.

My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home.
