(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) Recently they completed and opened Cincinnati's newest and tallest building. The Great American Insurance Group office tower chose a prime location downtown right behind the Cincinnati Reds baseball stadium which also has been named the Great American Ballpark. Long ago, Cincinnati had earned the nickname as The Queen City, so the designers of this beautiful building decided to top it off with a sparkling silver tiara, in her honor. With this newest and most significant improvement to the Cincinnati Skyline, things are always ... Looking Up.
I created this black and white image from my original color photograph taken on location by adding digital enhancements, textures or other effects. These effects and image details will become more visible by clicking inside the green magnifier square as the cursor is placed over the image.

About Mel Steinhauer
My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home. A family of my own and a new career put that dream on hold for many years, but I had always enjoyed photography as an art form. Then, after surviving another kind of war with cancer back in 1997, I began to really see the beauty in our world.
