Several of these friendly little cities are connected to each other along the old and famous, north to south, " Highway To Dixie ". Covington, Park Hills, Ft. Wright, Ft. Mitchell, Lakeside Park, Crestview Hills, Edgewood, Erlanger, Elsmere and Florence, just to name a few. When you leave the boundaries of one, you immediately enter into the next community.During emergencies or other times of need, they often rely on help from a nearby friend. Here at the Ft. Wright Fire Department, these every-day heroes are not just firemen, emergency medical technicians or rescue personnel. The fine men and women of the Ft. Wright FD are also ... About Mel Steinhauer
My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home. A family of my own and a new career put that dream on hold for many years, but I had always enjoyed photography as an art form. Then, after surviving another kind of war with cancer back in 1997, I began to really see the beauty in our world.
