(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) In the south of France, on the Rhone River you will find an ancient city known as the " Little Rome of Gaul". Dating way back to the glory days of the Roman Empire, it was once their second richest city after Rome itself. Here there is a smaller version of the more famous Colliseum in Rome, however this one better survived the ravages of time. Still in use today for concerts, bull-fighting and other events, I truly enjoyed my tour of the ... Roman Arena At Arles.
I created this antique, old-fashioned sepia tone image from my original color photograph taken on location by adding digital enhancements, textures or other effects. My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home. A family of my own and a new career put that dream on hold for many years, but I had always enjoyed photography as an art form.
