In 1779 the state government was moved to Lancaster and finally once again in 1812, it was moved to Harrisburg. The first structure was destroyed by fire in 1897 and the second building was abandoned during construction in 1899 when funding stopped. This beautiful building was completed in 1906 and was placed on our Nattional Register of Historic Places in 1977. I discovered it only recently with a beautiful fountain and an awesome sky to make it ... A Capitol Day.
