Artist's Description

(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) The beautiful town of Sedona rests peacefully in the high Sonoran desert of northern Arizona. But the downtown area with many shops, restaurants and art galleries can get very crowded with noisy tourists. To get away from all of that you can take jeep tours or go hiking into the peace of Red Rock Country. These large sandstone monoliths all have names, usually for something their shape resembles. Cathedral Rock.

I created this image from my original photograph taken on location by adding digital enhancements, textures and other effects. These effects and image details will become more visible by clicking inside the green square magnifier as the cursor is placed over the image.

This has compelled me to find beautiful scenes wherever I go and to share my favorite creations with others who may not have the time or...
