The original government plan was to use this island as a fuel tank depot, so it was officially named Tank Island. However that plan never became a reality and years later this man-made island was sold to private developers. Every evening as the sun sinks slowly in the west, hundreds of tourists come to Mallory Square on Key West just to watch Nature's spectacle. My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home.
